Minor quake hits Lampang
A minor earthquake measured at 3.4 on the Richter scale hit Lampang at 8.35pm on Saturday with the epicentre at tambon Pui Fai in Muang district, but caused no damage, the Meteorological Department announced on Sunday.

The quake was felt over a radius of 30 kilometres from the epicentre, including Lampang town.
It was followed by two aftershocks - one of 1.3 magnitude at 8.37pm and the other of 1.4 magnitude early on Sunday.
Somboon Kositanont, director of the Zone 1 Mineral Resources Office in Lampang, said Lampang was last hit by a quake measuring 1.6 on the Richter scale with the epicentre at tambon Ban Huat in Ngao district on Sept 19 last year.
