Militants attack students in deep South
A 15-year-old boy was injured when four suspected militants on two motorcycles fired multiple shots at a playground in Narathiwat's Sungai Padi district on Friday night, police said.

Pol Col Wutthipong Yenjit, superintendent of Sungai Padi police station, said the attack occurred at about 8pm when about 10 students were playing basketball at the playground.
Tripat Warunee, a 15-year-old ninth grader, was hit in the left hip and was rushed to hospital. The boy remained in a critical condition.
The gunmen fled the scene after shooting.
Police found 15 spent M16 cartridges at the scene.
Police blamed insurgents.
