PM to attend ACMECS meeting
Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will lead a the Thai delegation to the 5th meeting of the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) group in Vientiane, Laos, on March 12-13.

The delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom, PM's secretary-general Suranand Vejjajiva, and government spokesman Tossaporn Serirak.
The prime minister and her entourage are scheduled to depart from the air force's Wing 6 terminal on Tuesday at 4.30pm and return to Thailand on Wednesday about 4.15pm.
The ACMECS meeting brings together the five Asean member countries in the Mekong basin - Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam - for consultations on cooperation in making use of the strengths and diversity of resources in the region to promote balanced development.
