April exports up 10.52% on 2012
Exports for April were up 10.52% on April 2012, with a total value of US$18.70 billion, permanent secretary for commerce Watcharee Wimuktayon said on Thursday.

Import value for the month totalled US$21.55 billion, an increase of 8.91%, posting a trade deficit of US$2.8 billion, said Mrs Watcharee.
Export value over the first four months of the year (Jan-April) totalled US$75.66 billion, up 5.74% on the same period last year.
Import value over the first four months also went up 8.56% to stand at US$86.43 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of US$10.7 billion, she said.
