Dylan Hall lives in Wales with his British father and Thai mother, who frequently upload clips of the boy for the benefit of his grandparents in Thailand.
In the video, the mother films her child attempting to recite a poem that young Thais traditionally use to memorise all 44 consonants of the Thai alphabet. Dylan forgets some of the lines a few times but his mother helps him through. The toddler was able to recite the entire Thai alphabet in under three minutes without much difficulty.
After the clip was uploaded to YouTube on Jan 22, several parodies of Dylan's recital of the Thai alphabet were made online and there was a Gangnam Style version as well.
Dylan has also attracted 80,000 followers on Facebook.
Dylan's father Pete told the BBC that he did not expect his son to be an internet hit and believes the sensation will blow over eventually.
