Heavy flooding halted train operations in the lower South on Sunday.
The services of southern-route trains, including Sungai Kolok-Bangkok, were suspended since Saturday. Trains from Bangkok had to stop at Songkhla's Hat Yai station.
Trains running between Sungai Kolok, Hat Yai, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat had to be suspended as the level of water was over 20 centimetres above the tracks.
The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) could not yet confirm when the southern train services will operate as usual again, as officials will have to assess the situation and the damage after the water subsided.
