Eight people were injured in the car-bomb explosion at a computer company in Narathiwat’s Sungai Kolok on Friday morning, said Pol Lt Sakkapong Kerdpol, duty officer at Sungai Kolok police station.
After more than three hours, firefighters had managed to bring the flames the explosion started at the company’s building and nearby commercial buildings under control, he said.
Pol Lt Sakkapong said the owner of the computer company and three family members were stranded after fleeing on to the roof, but were later brought down to safety.
