- +

A drunk man said he accidentally shot his friend dead when he mistook him for a wild boar during a night of crab gathering in northern Phayao province.

Puan Maneewan was shot in the stomach by his friend Somkuan Promson, 48, who told the police that they both had too much to drink when they went crab hunting.

Mr Somkuan said he was looking for his friend with a torch when he saw what he thought was a wild boar  and accidentally fired his shotgun.
