BANGKOK - A Thai animal protection group on Friday protested outside the German embassy in Bangkok against a German national who stabbed a dog to death last month.
About 50 members of the Call for Animal Rights Thailand and Animal Lovers in Thailand gathered outside the embassy to pass a warning letter to Gert Alfred Grewe, 65, who was accused of killing a golden retriever last month after it attacked his pet rottweiler.
Veena Jitassa, a spokeswoman for the group, charged that Mr Grewe had stabbed the dog 17 times and said they want him to under a mental examination.
