Eight more members of the People's Alliance for Democracy have been indicted in the Criminal Court on terrorism and other charges in connection with the seizure of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports in 2008.

They are Skane Suthiwong, a well-known singer, Lakhana Didyasarin, director of an international school, Chaiporn Kerdmongkol, a singer with the Dan Kwien band, Suthi Atchasai, an NGO coordinator, Gen Panthep Puwanatnurak, a former 4th Army chief and deputy defence permanent secretary, Somchai Wongwet, Kusuma Phlaengsorn and Somsak Ismanyi.

The prosecutors said they led a number of PAD supporters who invaded the two airports and occupied them between Nov 29 and Dec 2, 2008, to demand the ousting of then prime minister Somchai Wongsawat. Their actions were a violation of the emergency decree imposed by the government, prosecutors added.
