Cement truck runs red light, kills 4

KAMPHAENG PHET - A cement truck ran through a red light at a four-way intersection on Phaholyothin Road in Khanu Woralaksaburi district on Monday night, colliding with five motorbikes and killing four people. 

Pol Col Phadungsak Panakham of Khanu Worakaksaburi police station, said Sumalee Deedum and a 5-year-old boy were killed instantly while seven people were injured as motorcycle parts were scattered along the street and flames rose from the wreckage. 

Rescuers took the wounded to the district hospital and Kamphaeng Phet Hospital. Orathai Sompa and Nittaya Deedum later succumbed to their injuries, police said.
