The Department of Special Investigation says on Thursday it will summon the president of St Gabriel's Foundation, which runs one of Thailand's oldest and most respected private schools, for questioning over allegations of mismanagement of donated money totalling more than two billion baht.
DSI special case investigator Pol Lt Col Bantoon Chimkra said on Monday the agency had submitted a letter to Brother Sirichai Fonseka asking him to testify before officers later this week and submit documents concerning the money.
The DSI is acting on a request lodged in late January by parents of students at the prestigious Assumption College asking it to examine the foundation's bank accounts and whether donations of more than two billion baht had been properly acquired or misused.
