The son of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra said he has no doubt the man in the controversial audio clip is his father - but said it was edited before being posted on YouTube in order to damage Thaksin.

"Audio clip? I've been his son for more than 30 years. I have no doubt that it's my dad in the voice," Panthongtae Shinawatra wrote on his Facebook page.

The son of ex-prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who runs an active Facebook page, says there is no doubt about the identity of one of the voices on the audio clip.
