Thailand urges China Sea peace

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has stressed Thai policy for a peaceful solution to conflicting territorial claims in the South China Sea, government spokesman Teerat Ratanasevi said on Wednesday.

The Thai position was conveyed by the prime minister directly to Fan Changlong, vice-chairman of the Chinese Central Military Commission, who is on a three-country visit which also includes Myanmar and Kazakhstan. He arrived in Thailand from Myanmar.
