Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her brother Thaksin have sent a combined 500,000 baht to the family of Sayan Sanya, the luk thung star who died of liver cancer and other ailments, on the singer's first day of religious rites on Thursday.
Wanchana Kerddee, officer attached to the Secretariat of the Prime Minister, gave the donations to Sayan’s family members at the rites, held at Wat Rai King in Nakhon Pathom province.
