The State Railway of Thailand has resumed its Bangkok-Korat service, after officials managed to reduce water levels on the tracks between Klang Dong and Pang Asoke stations in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district.
Heavy rainfall caused a deluge from nearby forests to flood tracks with 12cm of water, so the state agency closed the service temporarily, Prapat Chongsanguan, governor of State Railway of Thailand said on Friday morning.
The northeastern line service was closed for almost two hours before resuming at 11am.
