The High Court in Scotland has handed down a life sentence to a security guard convicted of killing a Thai woman who was attending a meeting in Glasgow.
Clive Carter, 35, was jailed for a minimum of 20 years on Tuesday for murdering Khanokporn Satjawat with a fire extinguisher in a toilet at the Clyde Auditorium on Nov 12, 2012, where the 42-year-old Thai was attending a conference on HIV drug therapy, the BBC reported.
The former G4S security guard at the venue denied the charges but the court was not convinced, it added.
