The Pheu Thai Party on Wednesday petitioned the Office of the Ombudsman, calling for it to launch an ethics investigation into the conduct of Suthep Thaugsuban and other Democrat MPs in mobilising the people to oppose the amnesty bill.
Prompong Nopparit, the Pheu Thai spokesman who submitted the petition on behalf of the party, said the Democrat MPs had abandoned their duty to attend a parliament meeting and instead mobilised the people to rally against the amnesty bill, causing chaos and obstructing communication routes.
The party wanted the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate the ethics of the Democrat MPs' conduct.
