Wife's mother admits to Jakkrit murder

- +

The mother-in-law of former national sports shooter Jakkrit "X" Panichpatikum, who was shot dead in his car last month, confessed on a Channel 3 morning news programme that she acted alone in hiring the gunmen to kill her daughter's husband.

"I was only person behind this [Jakkrit's murder] because I have only one daughter [Jakkrit's wife Dr Nitiwadee Pucharoenyos] and my husband died a longtime ago," 72-year-old Surang Duangchinda told the news anchor on Monday morning.

Mrs Surang said her daughter was so in love with Jakkrit and had to persevere with "countless abuses and beatings" committed by her husband.
