BEIJING - An explosion killed at least 22 people on Friday as workers were repairing a crack in an oil pipeline in the eastern Chinese city of Qingdao, reports said.
The leaking underground pipeline "caught fire and exploded" while it was under repair, the government's Xinhua news agency quoted officials as saying.
Online photographs showed paving stones uprooted and several vehicles damaged by the underground blast.
