Forty companies of police, including some military police, will be deployed in the capital city to maintain law and order on Jan 7, 9 and 13 when the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) will stage a mass rally, deputy metropolitan police chief Adul Narongsak said on Monday.
Pol Maj Gen Adul said joint police-military units would be deployed at important government installations, residences of important persons and 64 intersections to facilitate traffic flow.
The joint operations will involve rapid deployment units, ambulances, helicopters and other vehicles.
