There will not be a meeting of the caretaker cabinet today because there are no important issues on the agenda, prime minister's secretary-general Suranand Vejjajiva said on Tuesday.

Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra arrived at the Office of the Defence Permanent Secretary at Muang Thong Thani about 9.30am to monitor the second day of the Bangkok shutdown led by the People's Democratic Reform Committee.

Some members of the caretaker cabinet and high-level officials also arrived there. They included Deputy Prime Minister Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisarn, PM's Office Minister Varathep Rattanakorn, PM's Office permanent secretary Thongthong Chandransu and National Security Council secretary-general Paradorn Pattanatabut.
