SYDNEY - A 12-year-old boy is believed to have been "taken" by a crocodile while swimming in a pond in the Kakadu National Park in northern Australia, police confirmed on Sunday.
The attack took place at Mudginberri Billabong - 20 kilometres west of the town of Jabiru - while the boy was swimming in the pond with several other children, Acting Commander Michael White said.
"One other boy, also aged 12, was bitten on the arm by the crocodile and has received medical treatment from attending St John Ambulance members," he said.
