Teams of raiders will be dispatched to round up People's Democratic Reform Committee-led protesters laying siege to various government offices in 72 hours, Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) director Chalerm Yubamrung announced on Monday.

Mr Chalerm said he would order the action, as empowered by the emergency decree.

He insisted that this would not be a crackdown on protesters since no weapons would be used.
