FTI: Political turmoil hurting SMEs

- +

The continuing political turbulence is severely affecting the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), particularly tourism related businesses, Visit Limprana, vice chairman of the Federal of Thai Industries (FTI) said on Tuesday.

He said the government should quickly come up with measures to help the tourism business, including hotels, resorts and restaurant operators, survive the current crisis.

Mr Visit said the FTI had proposed to the government that it should rapidly put an end to the ongoing political conflict, ensure adequate liquidity for  SMEs by helping them obtain easy access to financing, and stabilise  the baht's value.
