Anti-government protesters under different groups were again marching in Bangkok on Monday to raise fund for farmers and pressure government officials to side with the protesters.
The People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) led by secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban began moving out about 10am from the BTS Ekamai station and along Ekamai road to Phetchaburi road then Thong Lor. The protesters were then to walk along inbound Sukhumvit road to their final destination at Asok intersection.
The PDRC protesters also marched for the same purpose on Friday in Silom area when they reported raising a total of 9.2 million baht of fund to help meet the expenses of farmers fighting for long overdue payments for rice delivered under the government's crop pledging scheme several months ago.
