HUA HIN — His Majesty the King on Thursday visited Hua Hin Dog Shelter, built under the royal initiative in 2003, to follow up progress of its efforts to tackle the problem of stray dogs.

The King left the beach-front Klai Kangwon Palace in the afternoon for the shelter, which is home to more than 2,000 dogs in Soi Khao Noi village, Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Daily News online reported.
