Man leaps to death from HK building

HONG KONG - A man leaped to his death Tuesday from the top of a 30-storey building in Hong Kong housing the Asia-Pacific regional office of Wall Street bank JP Morgan, witnesses said. 

The 30-floor Chater House is home to the headquarters of investment bank JPMorgan in Hong Kong. A man plunged to his death on Tuesday from the roof of the building. (AFP photo)

Police at the scene apparently failed to persuade the man not to jump off the roof of Chater House, local media reported.
