Wanted militant, son slain in Yala

A wanted insurgent and his 6-year-old son have been shot dead in Yala, police said on Friday. 

Pol Col Chartchai Chanasit said the man and his son were attacked at a rubber plantation in Yala province.

He said Muktar Ali-mama, 31, was a member of an insurgent group and the subject of several arrest warrants, including for murder.
