Soldier injured by Narathiwat bomb

A soldier was slightly wounded by a bomb explosion in Bacho district of Narathiwat province on Tuesday morning while on a motorcycle patrol, police said. 

Police said the bomb was detonated about 7.10am as a team of four soldiers on two motorcycles patroling the Pattani - Narathiwat road was nearing Ban Kayo Mati in tambon Kayomati.

The explosion caused a hole 50cm deep and 1.5m in diameter and slightly wounded Pvt Panithan Boonprasert, a patrol member.  He was admitted to Bacho Hospital.
