Husbandry grads in high demand

Animal husbandry graduates are in exceptionally high demand at present as supply has failed to keep up with the local livestock industry's expansion. 

The demand, however, is limited to the graduates of leading universities, who have been courted since freshman year with lucrative salary, benefit and career-path offers, said Kriengsak Sereeratyuenyong, chairman of the Southern Pig Raisers' Association.

"Those majoring in this field have been contracted by cattle companies, which will keep track of their grades, as well as moral and ethical attitudes," he said.
