Elephants spotted near industrial park

- +

Three elephants were spotted eating crops grown by farmers near an industrial park in Prachin Buri on Sunday.

Vichien Dandee, a villager in Si Maha Phot district, told reporters that the elephants, probably a male, a female and her baby, invaded cassava fields to eat and had moved closer to a workers' camp in Rojana Industrial Park.

"I'm afraid the elephants, if they feel hungry or stressed, will destroy things and may cause harm to the people. I'm also afraid the elephants will be harmed by the workers," Mr Vichien said.
