The Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions on Tuesday dismissed a case brought by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) against former Pheu Thai Party list MP Yuranan Pamornmontri for allegedly filing a false declaration of assets and liabilities.
The NACC on April 25 last year found that Mr Yuranan, formerly a popular actor and singer, failed to declare his 14 million baht worth shares in Villa Medica (Thailand) and his wife's three million baht of shares in the Thai Airways Savings Cooperative when he declared his assets and liabilities after being elected an MP on Aug 31, 2011.
The Supreme Court today dismissed the NACC petition on the grounds that Mr Yuranan had no intention to submit a false assets declaration.
