This week the government announced that all civil servants would receive a pay increase. At the same time the daily minimum wage which the prime minister had previously suggested should be a flat rate of 250 baht per day, also went up. How do these increases compare?     Houston, you have a problem. The graph above uses the minimum wage on a monthly basis using 30 days. In Phayao most day workers only work 6 days which works out to around 26 days. So they would earn 4134 Bt. That's a 636 Bt a month difference from your numbers. The cost of living in Phayao is as high as in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Lampang the minimum wage here should be on par with those places. IMHO
