A logo is unveiled for His Majesty the King's 7th cycle anniversary marking his 84th birthday later this year. The logo, designed by Siri Noodang, was picked from among many entries in a competition. Students keep a cloth off the ground as they walk to parliament. About 400 students from the Youth for Democracy group carried the 999-metre cloth hand-written with messages from people honouring His Majesty the King, who celebrates his 84th birthday on Dec 5. Each province produced its own fabric with messages for the King and the cloths were then stitched together to create one long cloth.Photo by Patipat Janthong.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva signs his name as leader of the Democrat Party at the Election Commission pledging cooperation in the next general election. The signing ceremony came after the EC held its first meeting with executives of political parties. The EC is making preparations for the election, expected to be held next month.
