Ayutthaya's inner city island, where many ancient historical sites are located, has been submerged by flood water.The area was evacuated on Saturday (Oct 8) as water broke through the town's flood wall in several areas. Rising water levels also forced the evacuation of the provincial hospital. Some 300 of the hospital's 600 patients were moved to the town hall while those needing intensive care were flown in helicopters to hospitals in Bangkok. Photos by Post Photographers.
