Up to 600 million baht in damage was caused by an explosion and fire at the Bangchak Petroleum refinery in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 64 on Wednesday morning, according to the oil firm’s president. Anusorn Saengnimnual confirmed an insurance company would pay for the damage and that Bangchak has confidence in the refinery’s safety system and will continue to use it.
