Threats of violence and relentless mudslinging have been the hallmarks of the relationship between the Democrat Party’s Tankhun Jitt-Itsara and Pheu Thai MP Karun Hosakul since the rivals began campaigning for the Don Muang seat at the July 3 general election. Karun won the battle for parliament but the war of words continues, most recently over the murder of Chutidet Suwannakerd, a political aide Tankhun alleges worked for him after switching sides from Karun's camp.
