Saudi Arabia's chief envoy to Thailand has fired off another strong statement concerning the promotion of Somkid Boonthanom, and insists there are efforts to confuse the situation over the case.
Nabil Hussein Ashri, the Saudi Arabian embassy's charge d'affaires, said in a statement released yesterday that his prime duty in Thailand is to follow up the progress of Thai officials in solving the pending crime cases involving Saudi nationals.
He said he had obtained information related to the promotion of one of the defendants in the case of the disappearance and murder of a Saudi businessman.
