Tropical storm Washi that hit the southern Philippines, triggering flash floods killing more than 650 people and leaving many missing, is expected to wreak havoc in southern Thailand tomorrow.
The storm was forecast to move through the lower South China Sea and weaken before hitting the coast of Malaysia by Wednesday, said Wanchai Sak-udomchai, director of the Meteorological Department's office in the eastern South.
This would result in more torrential rains in the South, particularly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, and Phatthalung provinces, with rough seas expected in the Gulf of Thailand from tomorrow until Thursday, Mr Wanchai said.
