China says Bo Xilai ouster shows unity in ruling party

China's Communist Party has put on a forceful display of unity by expelling Bo Xilai, state media said Saturday, but web users denounced the case as a sign of deep-rooted corruption plaguing the ruling party.

China's state media say the Communist Party has put on a forceful display of unity by expelling Bo Xilai, seen here in March 2012, but web users have denounced the case as a sign of deep-rooted corruption plaguing the ruling party.

China said Friday that the disgraced politician at the centre of a scandal that rocked the party ahead of a once-a-decade leadership transition will "face justice" for crimes including abuse of power and improper sexual relations.

Thailand is quite a contrast. In Thailand, politicians are rewarded for being corrupt and given positions for helping the leading corrupt people. Indeed, if you are not corrupt, you won't be accepted into the senior positions as you have to pay other corrupt people for being allowed to be a member of the corrupt elite club. Even worse ... the Thai people approve of you, if you are corrupt. I prefer the Chinese approach.
