Let us not forget Thaksin's deal to sell satellite services to Myanmar that netted him 2 billion baht profit. Thaksin has NO friends only people riding along on the corrupt trail of money. Not one Thai policeman has the courage to stand up for Thailand to go arrest him. Shameful and cowardly.

D15 Hillfarang & D18 Asian Hand - Thaksin travels freely for many reasons, none of which are the world's view of Thailand's justice system.

1: It has been widely reported that he has multiple passports, hence can enter countries without being TS from Thailand; 2: He is quite rich and a hand full of cash goes a long way, when entering country by private plane and staying off the books; 3: The current Thai government is not pursuing his arrest and without their request foreign countries won't chase him.

"The man is a genius in business." Then why did his early ventures all end in failure, leaving him deeply in debt?

    Disc.14 Buster:

…..ethics of doing business as it is today?
No ethics in Thailand, just greed and corruption. Globally it’s different and better controlled.
Oops, you’ve just shot yourself in your foot by comparing your idol to Madoff and Stanford – yes they’re geniuses – at corruption, not business.

Hey folks lets not forget that the "leader of the free world" granted K. Thaksin a visa to enter the USA. He travels the world with no restriction. So the global community doesn't recognize the Thai legal system and therefore he is not a convicted felon. As for Thein Sein, this guy is a relic, delusional and they both share "being ousted" with shattered egos they both want to rebuild no doubt.

Several comments here accuse Noppadon of lying yet they do not present any facts to back their claims. "There will be no business deals made during the meeting, Mr Noppadon said." Noppadon seems to be a competent lawyer. I wouldn't think Thaksin would hire an incompetent one. Competent lawyers choose their words carefully. You can take it as "Business deals will be discussed but not made." I don't think I've ever caught Noppadon in an outright lie when he makes these type of announcements.

The childish obsession with Thaksin is blurring the vision and thoughts of the anti-Red posters here. If you want to be objective, and here I'm assuming that not many of you are Thai nationals, then why don't you lobby this newspaper to call on the government for swift justice in the hypocritical length of time that the thugs of PAD i.e. Yellow shirts have been allowed to get away with the acts of terrorism in the occupation and ransacking of Government House and taking over two international airports resulting in the virtual closure of Thailand not just a road junction in Bangkok. That the Red Shirts, who are accused of crimes in Bangkok aft
