Taiwanese workers pelted police with eggs Sunday as thousands took to the streets demanding the government change economic policies which they say favour big business.

"Up to 5,000 eggs were thrown to vent our anger," Lin Tze-wen, the spokesman for the protest, told AFP at the end of the march.
