Worried the family dog is too chubby?
Fujitsu employee Yoko Mitsuyama holds her dog 'Ace' who is wearing the company's 'Wandant' pedometer at a press conference in Tokyo. The device records a dog's activity level and other data such as number of steps taken, signs of shivering and external temperature which pet owners can access via a cloud service on their smartphones or personal computers.
Japanese information technology giant Fujitsu says it may have the solution with a new health management service that lets owners keep a close eye on their pet's exercise regimen through a pedometer attached to its collar.
