Migration legality still a problem

A seminar at Chulalongkorn University on Tuesday wrestled with the problem of how to tackle migration legality, and the deportation of illegals.

Supang Chantavanich, Chulalongkorn University's Asian Research Centre for Migration director, said the current situation might seem chaotic after the nationality verification (NV) process for the registered migrants officially ended last Friday. Ms Supang was talking at the final day of the international conference on "On the Move: Critical Migration Themes in Asean."
