9 dead in Philippine shootings

MANILA: A man who was apparently intoxicated fatally shot eight people, including a pregnant woman, her three-year-old daughter and a seven-year-old girl, before being shot dead by police on Friday.
At least eight other people were wounded in the shooting rampage in Kawit township, 16 kilometres south of Manila, asaid Jonvic Remulla, the governor of Cavite province.
He identified the gunman as Ronald Bae, who was killed in a shootout with responding police.
