Second Australian death in Laos

Two Australian friends have been found dead within days of each other in Laos after suspected drug overdoses.

Kane Scriven died in Laos after initial reports of a night of heavy drinking. His friend, Nick Parkin, who was with him was found dead four days later. Photo: Channel 9.

Reports from Australia suggest that Nick Parkin, 39, was discovered dead in his room at the Sinnakhone Hotel in Vientiane on Jan 4, after his friend Kane Scriven was found dead on Jan 1.
