Thongchai fires 65 for Champions lead

Former paratrooper Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand fired a seven-under-par 65 on Thursday to take a three-shot first-round lead in the Volvo Golf Champions.

    I'll be cheering Thonchai on, however as a weekend golfer, I would watch more Asian and European golf if they 'always' gave the drive distance off the Tee and "Especially" the approach shot to the
    hole with the club used if possible as a bonus - much lke they do in the States - makes me feel more interactive with the game.

    I am going to watch him if he makes the cut , I watched Tiger Woods now have Khun Thonchai as the breath of the fresh air . Best of luck.
