Japan's Kimiko Date-Krumm hits a return against Israel's Shahar Peer during their women's singles match at the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne on January 17, 2013. Date-Krumm dismissed Peer 6-2, 7-5 to become the oldest player to reach a Grand Slam third round in 34 years.
Date-Krumm, who had already become the oldest woman to win at the Australian Open, dismissed Israel's Shahar Peer 6-2, 7-5 to become the oldest player to reach a Grand Slam third round in 34 years.
