Roger Federer passed a five-set test from Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Wednesday to set up an Australian Open semi-final with Andy Murray, as Serena Williams was shocked by teenager Sloane Stephens.

Switzerland's Roger Federer celebrates after victory in his men's singles match against France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on the tenth day of the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne on January 23, 2013.

The great Swiss needed all his coolness and concentration as he was twice pegged back from a set lead before taking it 7-6 (7/4), 4-6, 7-6 (7/4), 3-6, 6-3, reaching his 33rd Grand Slam semi-final.
